AHHHHHH October

October in New England, there really isn't a more beautiful spot to be this time of year!

This year is promising to be a real beauty.  It seems as if the trees changed color over night. The colors are ranging from lime green, yellows and red with dots of the evergreen trees and blue spruce here and there.

The breeze carries such a wonderful scent as it flows through the trees, making the leaves dance and sound like a room full of rustling skirts. The scent is a mixture of fresh fallen leaves, juicy apples, and soft underlying magic of fire places being lit to take off the sudden chill in the air.

.

This is my favorite month. There is a lack of biting insects and its the time of year when the air is cool in the morning and in the evening but, just perfect during the day. Now is when the laundry smells extra fresh having been dried outside and the fashion goes from shorts and tank tops to sweat shirts and jeans.

Week ends are full of raking up leaves into big piles that have kids all giddy waiting to jump into the pile of them. Having bonfires and roasting marshmallows.

If you get a chance, please come on up to New England and soak in the beauty! I am sure that you wont regret it.
